Anne J. White is Of Counsel to Demeo & Associates, P.C. Ms. White was formerly a partner at Klieman, Lyons, Schindler & Gross, where she worked for nearly 20 years.
Ms. White focuses her practice on the representation of debtors and secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings. She is a member of the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees appointed by the United States Trustee. Ms. White provides counsel to financially distressed individuals and businesses, with particular emphasis on tax issues, as well as sale plans. She serves as Chapter 11 trustee in a variety of business cases.
Since 2002, Boston Magazine has featured Ms. White as one of four bankruptcy lawyers named to its annual Best Lawyers listing. She is also a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of bankruptcy topics.
Ms. White received her B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Lawrence University in 1975; her M.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1977; and her J.D. from Boston University Law School in 1980.
Ms. White is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. From 2003 through 2005, Ms. White served as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Bankruptcy Law Section, where she is a member. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.
She lives with her husband on the North Shore.
